In January of 1902, 3 pennies could have bought you the first edition of Popular Mechanics magazine. It was written to bring the world of science and technology to the public as “An Illustrated Weekly Review of the Mechanical Press of the World”. The earliest editions focused on advances in science across the globe and were written so that everybody could learn from each story. After WWII, hoping to bring in new readers, the magazine changed its tagline to “Written So You Can Understand It”.

Features:

Body styles featured from the Popular Mechanics magazine cover cars
Models are offered in “A”, “B”, and “iWheels” versions
Auto World’s ThunderJet Ultra-G cars feature a special neodymium traction magnet on the underside of the chassis. The additional component smooths handling and allows for faster speeds in the corners.
