American Muscle 1971 Dodge Charger R/T MCACN 1:18 Scale Diecast

SKU: AMM1330

Owners: Tim and Pam Wellborn • Wellborn Musclecar Museum
This 1971 Dodge Charger R/T has lived a full life over the years, but not like a typical HEMI-powered muscle car. This was a life of ease and relaxation while its multiple owners over the years tended to its every need with climate-controlled storage, soft cloths, and tenderness. Despite decades passing, this Charger hasn’t aged. Simply popping the hood could make any true Mopar enthusiast’s jaw drop, let alone if they crawled underneath for a full inspection. The term “time capsule” is a trivial term when describing the condition of this survivor.

This award-winning Mopar is possibly the best-preserved HEMI known to exist. Endless tell-tale details like virtually zero corrosion, specific date codes on hoses, slight color variations in wiring, and an important, but faded stripe on the throttle return spring all combine together documenting true 1971 craftsmanship, unmuddied by even the best modern restorations or NOS parts with factory-correct markings. This beautiful Charger was shown at the 2022 MCACN, as a part of a larger Wellborn vehicle display.
