Stephen M. Saleen is the founder and CEO of Saleen Automotive. His entrepreneurial business tactics combined with his background as a successful race car driver took him from humble beginnings to an expansive network of multiple manufacturing plants and distribution centers in North America. Steve was the mastermind behind the origins of the Ford Saleen Mustang and through the years his company has focused on modifying designs and adding superchargers to boost performance. The 2003 Supercharged Saleen Mustang benefits from a recalibrated processor, some exhaust tweaking, and a Lysholm twin-screw supercharger with a fan-equipped water-to-air intercooler. Packing 375 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque, the ’03 S281-SC has an increase in power that is evident when accelerating, topping out at 154 mph, yet inside the cabin, when cruising at 80 mph, you can carry on a conversation, thanks to the revised muffler design.
Auto World is proud to replicate this 2003 Saleen Mustang with unique bodywork and styling cues in a rare Dark Shadow Gray, clad with the Saleen tonneau cover and lightbar. Also included in the box is the optional Convertible top.
